In Dew Time...

Little Pansy

Fragile little flower,
Drooping as if the weight
Of morning's dew
Would bend her
To the ground forever,
Was released of
Her burden when
The sun rose
Higher in the sky
As Summer's golden heat
Reclaimed the crystal droplet
Into the warmth of day.
Yawning, Pansy stretched
Upward to wink at a cloud
And greeted a buzzing visitor.
